He is famous for his resistance to the former Fascist Friesbourgian regime, and came second in the 2017 Friesbourg Presidential Election

Family
His father, Tanguy, was a butcher and his mother, Beatrice, was a teacher. Casper had one brother, Peter, who came out as bisexual in 1997. Casper married Maria Kernalez(née Connor) in 1988. Maria was also a teacher. They had three sons, Tanguy in 1991, Yann in 1995 and Seamus in 1998. His children, wife and father were killed by the fascist secret police in 2002, while his mother died 10 years earlier, having been poisoned.

Early Life
From a Breton family, he grew up in Ecronia and was state educated. He excelled at school, and got a degree in history at university.

Career
In 1980 he began opposing the authoritarian regime, joining the DPA who were laying low and attempting to score petty blows against the fascist regime, joining a democratic militia. He became an important DPA spokesman, broadcasting free radio from the hills of Ecronia, with the Friesbourgish secret police managing to assassinate his wife, his children and his father in 2002. In 2012, Kernallez took over leadership of the DPA, and fought for democracy in the successful rebellion against the fascist state. He appointed Andy Richardson, a former aide to Nick Clegg, as his deputy in early 2017, soon after the fall of the fascist regime, having come to know him very well in 2012. At around the same time, his DPA formed an electoral pact with the FFP, who agreed to support his presidential bid. He called on President Bruinier to resign after the Capp Affair.

He came second in the 2017 Presidential Election.

He elected not to serve as leader of the DV parliamentary group, instead deciding to be Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Foreign Minister, while still retaining his post as DV Chairman.

In 2018 he resigned from all his positions after the death of his brother and his nephew in a car crash.

Political Views
Casper Kernallez describes himself as a 'Christian liberal' and an 'enlightened centrist'. Kernallez has been critical of President Bruinier as well as independence, though he supports an Ecronian parliament. He is a fervent pro-European, managing to get DPA into the European ALDE party in 2015, and maintaining a strong friendship with Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and former leader of the Lib Dems Tim Farron. Kernallez was raised a Catholic and is still a strong Catholic, although he feels that the Church needs to modernise, accept women into the clergy and be more accepting towards same-sex couples. He supports immigration.

Personal Life
Casper Kernallez supports his local football team, Orville 1928, who play in the Ecronian Titans Division, the 3rd division of Friesbourgish football, and is now a season ticket holder, having previously not been to a game out of fear for his safety.
He speaks Breton, English, German, French, Ecronian and Welsh and is often admired for his remarkable level of fluency in six languages.

Personality
Casper Kernallez is known as very talkative, and often spends hours on end at the pub talking to people he has only just met. He is quite strong-willed, as shown in his fight against the fascist regime. He is lacklustre with modern technology, though he makes an effort.

Books
He has written 12 books, all during the fascist era and all of which were banned, the most famous of which are Resist - The Story of My Life , A History of Ecronia - and where to go from here and Reinhard Edrich - The Flawed Premiership And How The Fascists Got In
Andy John Richardson (born 20 January 1963) is a British-born Friesbourgish politician, Chancellor of Friesbourg, Leader of the Democratic People's Alliance, author and former member of the Friesbourg Revolution movement. He is a member of the Friesbourgish National Assembly.

Early life
Richardson was born into an English family as an only child his father's heritage hailing from Norwich and his mother's from London, growing up in Lindenhütten, a village 30 minute from Freiheidstadt. Richardson first became interested in politics following a chat with a schoolteacher who told him of the regime and frequent trips to the United Kingdom throughout his youth. He is said to have been academically solid at school. He went to the University of Newcastle to study politics and philosophy, "observing the change in the lives of the working classes under Thatcher". He graduated with 1st's in both Philosophy and Politics. His observing of the working classes is said to have influenced his paternalistic views towards the working classes and belief in moderate state intervention, as well as hearing stories of his maternal grandfather's upbringing in London.

Career
His first activist work came in the form of his first book in 1982, the then-illegally published 37 Years Behind the Times, which critically analysed the Friesbourg regime and told stories of those imprisoned in the regime. Richardson also participated in paramilitary work during his life, participating in the 1989 and 2012 uprisings, being imprisoned after 1989 before escaping. Following 2012, Richardson proceeded to go off-grid, where he and DV leader Casper Kernallez "befriended over their shared liberal ideologies and use of faith to guide them". While Friesbourg was a fascist state, he was a member of the Liberal Democrats in the United Kingdom under the pseudonym "John Smyth", advising then-MEP Nick Clegg on policies in The Orange Book: Reclaiming Liberalism. In the transitional state, Richardson opted to enter political office, having been appointed Deputy Leader of the Democratic Peoples' Alliance in 2017 and was elected in the 2017 Friesbourgish National Asssembly election. He then became the Leader of the Democratic People's Alliance following the 2018 Demokratische Volksallianz leadership election and became Leader of the Opposition in December 2017. Richardson served as Leader of the Opposition

Political views
Richardson has been described by political commentators as a "true centrist - a neo-Clintonian who wants to see policies operate in balance and in harmony". He is willing to compromise with parties of all sides if the DV win the 2017 elections. Richardson is for Friesbourg joining the European Union and views the European Union as "a supercharger for our nation's growth". He is against independence for Ecronia, though would be willing to seek a referendum if a mandate was reached for it. He believes in a blend of social welfare and skills training, believing social mobility can be achieved if the individual is allowed to be uplifted through such programmes. He speaks Friesbourgish, French, German and English.
Andy John Richardson (born 20 January 1963) is a British-born Friesbourgish politician, Leader of the Democratic People's Alliance, author and former member of the Friesbourg Revolution movement. He is a member of the Friesbourgish National Assembly and is the Shadow Chancellor of Friesbourg.

Early life
Richardson was born into an English family as an only child his father's heritage hailing from Norwich and his mother's from London, growing up in Lindenhütten, a village 30 minute from Freiheidstadt.

History
The Democratic People's Alliance was founded in 1922, when Left-The Liberal Party was renamed by Chancellor Kurt Schults. It originally subscribed to liberal ideas and agrarian interests. It lost power in the 1930 Election. It opposed the descent of the country into fascism. It was banned in 1936 but remained in hibernation, opposing the fascist regime. Since the collapse of fascism in 2015 the party has consistently polled highest, with a long and established history, a well known leader and an anti-fascist track record.

Ideology
The party is a liberal party based on Christian democratic ideals, and current leader Casper Kernallez has compared it to the CDU of Germany. The party support a Third Way approach economically, supporting strong welfare payments in particular. The DPA is also the most pro-European party in Friesbourg. The party is more ambiguous on certain social issues, caught between liberal ties and Christian ideals. The party supports civil partnerships but not same-sex marriage. The DPA support increasing the number of faith schools, and they propose a devolved parliament for Ecronia. Kernallez has described the party as pro-immigration, similar to many Christian democratic and liberal parties. They also place a strong emphasis on the environment.
Andy John Richardson (born 20 January 1963) is a British-born Friesbourgish politician, Deputy Leader of the Democratic People's Alliance, author and former member of the Friesbourg Revolution movement.
In the transitional state, Richardson has opted to enter political office, having been appointed Deputy Leader of the Democratic Peoples' Alliance in 2017 and is choosing to stand in the 2017 Friesbourgish National Asssembly election.

Andy John Richardson (born 20 January 1963) is a British-born Friesbourgish politician, Deputy Leader of the Democratic People's Alliance, author and former member of the Friesbourg Revolution movement. He is currently standing for election in the 2017 Friesbourgish National Assembly election and is standing as the Chancellor-candidate for the aforementiond party.
Early life
Richardson was born into an English family as an only child his father's heritage hailing from Norwich and his mother's from London, growing up in Lindenhütten, a village 30 minute from Freiheidstadt.
In the transitional state, Richardson has opted to enter political office, having been appointed Deputy Leader of the Democratic Peoples' Alliance in 2017 and is choosing to stand in the 2017 Friesbourgish National Asssembly election.

From a Breton family, he grew up in Ecronia and was state educated. He appointed Andy Richardson as his deputy in early 2017, soon after the fall of the fascist regime. At around the same time, his DPA formed an electoral pact with the FFP, who agreed to support his presidential bid.

Kernallez has been critical of President Bruinier and Ecronian independence, though he supports an Ecronian parliament. He is a fervent pro-European, managing to get DPA into the European ALDE party in 2015. Kernallez was raised a Catholic and is still a strong Catholic, although he feels that the Church needs to modernise, accept women into the clergy and be more accepting towards same-sex couples.

Casper Kernallez supports his local football team, Orville 1928, who play in the Ecronian Titans Division, the 3rd division of Friesbourgish football, and is now a season ticket holder, having previously not been to a game out of fear for his safety.
He is currently standing for election in the 2017 Friesbourgish National Assembly election and is standing as the Chancellor-candidate for the Demokratische Volksallianz.

Richardson first became interested in politics following a chat with a schoolteacher who told him of the regime and frequent trips to the United Kingdom throughout his youth. Richardson's first activist work came in the form of his first book in 1982, the then-illegally published 37 Years Behind the Times, which critically analysed the Friesbourg regime and told stories of those imprisoned in the regime. Richardson also participated with the Ecronia Resiódíl Gálga in paramilitary work during his life, participating in the 1989 and 2012 uprisings, being imprisoned after 1989 before escaping. In the transitional state, Richardson has opted to enter political office, being a member of the Demokratische Volksallianz's Executive Committee and stand in the 2017 Friesbourgish National Asssembly election. He believes in a blend of social welfare and skills training, believing sociall mobility can be achieved if the individual is allowed to be uplifted through such programmes. He speaks Friesbourgish, German and English.
