However around the year 50, a great drought in northern Nasela lead to a mass migration of Naselans into Anguare. This helped to forge a syncretic culture made of Naselan and Paotan peoples, often with Paotans in positions of elite and Naselans in lower-class positions. <br /> <br /> In 198, a cyclone within the town of Sofela lead to a great rebellion, lead by the Naselans, against the central government. Many of the Paotan elites were killed, and their bodies cannibalised, but few of them saw to side themselves with the Naselan majority, leading to them keeping many of their high positions. After 13 years of guerilla warfare and rebellion, the Naselans made peace with the central Paotan government, gaining independence under the Paotan Ladeiro dynasty.<br /> <br /> The Ladeiro Dynasty originally favoured the Naselans and often treated them above their own Paotans. However, over time, corruptyion in the courts lead to many ex-noble Paotans paying favours of the Ladeiro Dynasty, leading to a slow return to Paotan hegemony over the region. This then lead to the central government having less and less power over time, and regional warlords rising up and fighting each over control of small provinces within the kingdom. This came to a head in 355, when the Mosan Dynasty couped the Ladeiros, capturing their King and gaining control of the court, before killing the King and proclaiming themselves to be the true Kings of Anguare.
