The Prime-Minister of the [[Baclia|Socialist Republic of Baclia]] is a position legally pre-dating the Socialist takeover, established on the 15th October 1927, at the first [[Baclian Unitary Congress]].

==United Western Republics (1927-1933)==
At the onset of the independence war, the [[Western Provinces of Remania]] were a disorganized patchwork of revolutionary and loyalist armies, clashing against each other. As a result, the wider independence movement consisted more of a confederation of autonomous armies and polities which vaguely recognized the authority of the Alexandria-based Baclian Unitary Front. Elections were held each year, sometimes even earlier, and the wartime nature of this government led to inevitable contests between the member states.

In this period, two coalitions formed the parties partaking in the elections, although it should be noted that each such formation represented a vaguely-defined union of parties from the member states. ==People's Republic of Baclia (1952-1963)==
Following the suspension of the Constitution in 1950, and the subsequent martial law instated by the Socialist-aligned junta, in 1952 the [[Baclia#Communism|People's Republic of Baclia]] was established. All parties of the previous regime were outlawed, except for the {{legend inline|#ff0000;|[[National-Labour Party]]|border=1px solid #AAAAAA}}. At the same time, two other parties, namely the {{legend inline|#b30000;|[[Baclian Communist Party]]|border=1px solid #AAAAAA}} and the {{legend inline|#ff6666;|[[Ploughsmen Front (Baclia)|Ploughsmen Front]]|border=1px solid #AAAAAA}} emerged. While technically free and equal to compete against one another, all parties recognized the primacy of the BCP.

In 1963, according to the [[Aryan-Workers' Party#National-Vanguardist Wing|proto-Vanguardist]] tenets of the new leadership, the nation was renamed to the [[Baclia#National-Vanguardism|Socialist Republic of Baclia]]. Although a regime change was effected legally in 1996, the position of Prime-Minister was kept and continued in its present form. In this period the {{legend inline|#802b00;|[[Aryan-Workers' Party#National-Vanguardist Wing|proto-Vanguardist wing of the BCP]]|border=1px solid #AAAAAA}} began to rise in power, internally competing against the {{legend inline|#b30000;|[[Baclian Communist Party|BCP]]|border=1px solid #AAAAAA}} until the XVIII-th Congress of the BCP, when the {{legend inline|#802b00;|[[Aryan-Workers' Party]]|border=1px solid #AAAAAA}} ran openly against the state party. The Prime-Minister of the [[Baclia|Socialist Republic of Baclia]] is a position legally pre-dating the Socialist takeover, established on the 15th October 1927, at the first [[Baclian Unitary Congress]].

==United Western Republics (1927-1933)==
At the onset of the independence war, the [[Western Provinces of Remania]] were a disorganized patchwork of revolutionary and loyalist armies, clashing against each other. As a result, the wider independence movement consisted more of a confederation of autonomous armies and polities which vaguely recognized the authority of the Alexandria-based Baclian Unitary Front. Elections were held each year, sometimes even earlier, and the wartime nature of this government led to inevitable contests between the member states.

In this period, two coalitions formed the parties partaking in the elections, although it should be noted that each such formation represented a vaguely-defined union of parties from the member states. Following the suspension of the Constitution in 1950, and the subsequent martial law instated by the Socialist-aligned junta, in 1952 the [[Baclia#Communism|People's Republic of Baclia]] was established. The Prime-Minister of the [[Baclia|Socialist Republic of Baclia]] is a position legally pre-dating the Socialist takeover, established on the 15th October 1927, at the first [[Baclian Unitary Congress]].

==United Western Republics (1927-1933)==
At the onset of the independence war, the [[Western Provinces of Remania]] were a disorganized patchwork of revolutionary and loyalist armies, clashing against each other. As a result, the wider independence movement consisted more of a confederation of autonomous armies and polities which vaguely recognized the authority of the Alexandria-based Baclian Unitary Front. Elections were held each year, sometimes even earlier, and the wartime nature of this government led to inevitable contests between the member states.

In this period, two coalitions formed the parties partaking in the elections, although it should be noted that each such formation represented a vaguely-defined union of parties from the member states. Following the suspension of the Constitution in 1950, and the subsequent martial law instated by the Socialist-aligned junta, in 1952 the [[Baclia#Communism|People's Republic of Baclia]] was established.
