In our timeline, he WAS shot, but he survived. In this timeline, his injuries proved fatal, leading to his death along with the death of Hermann Wilhelm Goering. Due to this embarrassing defeat, the National Socialist German Workers' Party was dissolved, with the National Populist Freedom Party (''Nationale populistische Freiheitspartei'', NPFP) taking its place, under the leadership of General Erich Ludendorff. As Ludendorff was not as much of a 'professional' speaker as Hitler was, and the fact that his image was ruined by his failure as a military general in the Great War, the NPFP never secured a Government in Germany. In the November 1932 German Federal Election, the Communist Party of Germany would secure over 200 seats in the Reichstag. As President Paul von Hindenburg would refuse to make KPD leader Ernst Thälmann Chancellor of Germany, the Berlin Putsch (1933) would occur, with Ernst Thälmann being declared German President the following day, forming the German Socialist People's Republic and outlawing all opposition parties, making the KPD the sole-legal party in all of Germany.
