hi these are mostly notes anything with a bullet point is probably a note and not a real sentence

• The UFRR (Union of Federal Rationalist Republics) is the 5th largest country in Setterra and 2nd largest economy

• The UFRR is the flagship Rationalist Socialist state in Seterra

• Although the UFRR is a democratically run country, it is still a single party state

• In 1901, some stuff happens (I haven't decided exactly how it happens) and parliament gets swept by rationalist socialist guys, with their main point being that they wanna be isolationist pacifist and just focus on a self run command economy in the now UFRR

• Due to it being peace time and the country already being pretty industrialized the central command economy works pretty well from 1901-1943, though has some flaws idk

• UFRR Invaded by Onshokostan (1943-1946?)

• Zelenic sea war with CSCR

• After wars economy reform to be market socialist because command economy dont work with how fast the economy grew or smth

• Cold war after that, basically government loophole makes some guy sorta dictator in power from the late 40s to early 80s

In the Pre-Great War, isolationist UFRR that system had performed adequately, and the economy was stable and generally steadily improved the lives of citizens.

With the major shake up of The Great War, the centrally planned economy became strained. Once the war was over and the elections held, newer economic thinking began to come into the UFRR. These started with relaxed price controls on agricultural products, and the establishment of privately run or semi-private worker run cooperatives. These reforms, along with the opening up of the country to foreign trade, caused an economic boom. Additionally, due to the worker cooperatives corporations also contributing to the state’s [[w:Social_dividend|Social dividend]] program, living conditions improved greatly. One of the biggest boosts to the UFRR’s economy was the digitization of the central planning office and many key industries in the 1970s and 1980s. In the early 1970s, the UFRR's rail system was the first system fully integrated into the central digital computing system, increasing productivity by nearly 40%.

Until the 1960s, the bulk of the UFRR's medium to long distance transportation for people was done via train, or sometimes aircraft. Citing it as an easy way to increase productivity, de-congest the railways, and replace small short line railways, the UFRR establish the [[Inter-Republic Expressway System]], or IRES, (SMBC in Cerveti) in the early 1960s, along with heavy government investment into boosting the automotive sector. By the early 1980s, the first stage of the IRES was completed. The first stage connected all the major cities on the UFRR's [[Crostenian Ocean]] coast, while portions of the second stage had already been completed on some cities closer to the Gray Ocean. By the early 90s, the first trans-UFRR highway was completed, fully connected the until then two isolated coastal networks.
