The unreleased third studio album by Sierran rapper Blaxkface Killer featured written and recorded material from mid-2020, with a version of the album being finalized in late 2021, with guest appearances and features having been submitted since then. While leaks were consistent since 2021, the album was leaked in its entirety in May 2022, causing its release to be cancelled. Wilson's estate and label promptly announced a new album with a release date for late 2022. During a Q&A on Bubbler, Splash Godd stated that the album will likely never be released but elaborated "[maybe] something in the future. It's just been spoiled to be honest". On 17 June, the songs "Backdoor" and "Snitching" featuring Blastoff and Pluto would be notably released as non-album singles. Although never officially named, the album has been referred to by the artist's fans as #FreeBlaxkAlbum, who subsequently created multiple bootleg recreations of the album with confirmed leaked tracks.
Commercial performance
Upon its leak across VidStream, the songs would millions of views on the leakers account before being subsequently banned. The tracks would later surface on various internet forums, such as 3mage. Despite lawsuit, the streaming-platform MixxSpin hosts the entirety of the leaked project which has garnered more than 500,000 downloads since its initial release.
