- When Day Broke is a narrative constructed world based on the collaborative project SCP's page called "When Day Breaks", or "SCP 001 - Shaggy Dreadlocks proposal". It closely emulates much of the aspects of the story but in independent stories that is spread across the world and in space. Basically, the page itself is describing a catastrophic anomaly where sunlight turns people into a translucent substance resembling wax, causing them to melt and merge together. This phenomenon spreads rapidly, leading to societal collapse and the transformation of all life forms exposed to sunlight. The narrative unfolds through recovered documents, revealing the Foundation's attempts to contain and understand the anomaly while facing dwindling resources and existential threats. Fantasy and unrealistic aspects of the story (but not the melting and reanimation itself) are removed from the story, like the aspect of them being able to interact with technology that they wouldn't be able to interact with in real life. The Event occurs on an unspecified date in the article itself, but it takes place from March 13, 2026 onwards.
