Our goal is the happiness of all mankind
The political slogan "Our goal is the happiness of all mankind" is one of the mottos and rallying cries for the All-Union Continentalist Party in the United Commonwealth and is a popular phrase associated with Landonism and Continentalism, being treated as the unofficial motto of both ideologies. The phrase was first made in 1921 by Aeneas Warren during his final speech to the public before his death on September 14 from Spanish flu. It has since become Warren's most iconic phrase and a rallying cry for global Landonist and communist movements is on par with "Workers of the world, unite!" in terms of fame. In essence, the phrase states the overall purpose of Landonism as a whole, the betterment and happiness for all of mankind by the overthrow and dismantling of capitalism and achieving a Landonist society through class conflict.
The phrase is the official motto of the Landonist International (Landintern), the political international advocating for world Landonism and world revolution since its establishment in 1919. It is also the official motto or the unofficial but popular phrase for many communist parties adhering to Landonism. Inspite of its Landonist associations and connections, the phrase is popular among traditional communist, socialist and other left-wing and anti-capitalist movements and parties worldwide, especially among said movements and parties who are partly inspired by Landonist ideology.
Overview
Long before the establishment of the modern Continental States, the phrase was first writtten in the 1872 book Exploitation in the Modern Age by Isaiah Landon in which he stated what the ultimate goal of communism and Marxism should be. The book was published two years before the Sierran Civil War started and the phrase was promoted by Landon in the Second California Republic during the war. At the time, the original phrase was "The goal is the happiness for all mankind".
The Second International was inspired by Landon's writings and viewed the ideology as the "one true and ultimate path for mankind's happiness" and that it reflected the proletarian internationalism as stated by Karl Marx and agreed upon by Landon himself. The Continentalist Party made it their rallying cry not long after its formation in 1917 and long after they gained power in 1921 following the Continental Revolutionary War.
The phrase would be stated publically in 1921 by Aeneas Warren shortly before his death in his final speech to the public. There, he stated that the United Commonwealth had an obligation to pursue world revolution inspite of his death, that Landonism is the path towards human wellbeing and opposition towards capitalism and that Landonism's ultimate goal was the happiness of all mankind. Shortly after his death, the phrase became the official motto of the Landonist International in honor of Warren, to continue his legacy and to showcase the Landintern's overall goal.
