'''''Oldenmyth''''' is a fledgling historical fantasy / speculative history project, created by [[User:Dawnstar|Dawnstar]], and added to the wiki in 2024. The project will cover various parts of Earth's pre-modern history, with especial focus on "dark ages" – poorly-attested periods to be filled in with the benefit of omniscient narration. In the process, mythology and history will be reconciled, producing an idealized, aesthetic version of the past, balanced between realism and fantasy.

Oldenmyth is a fledgling historical fantasy / speculative history project, created by Dawnstar, and added to the wiki in 2024.

The scope of articles may range from the beginning of history to the late medieval period, but no later. If a definitive end date is necessary, then it should be set at 1439 (the year before the invention of the printing press). As far as the New World is concerned, the cutoff may extend to the date of first contact with early modern Europe (in some cases as late as the 1600s).

In general, articles should not be written from the perspective of the end date looking back, but should instead offer a neutral, pan-historic view of the topic, with no era reigning as the "present day".
