Euro Center
The Euro Center, located in Zagreb, Europa is an under-construction set of several buildings which will form the core of Europe's new financial capital.
The buildings
Euro 1
Euro 1 began construction in March 2006. This building was designed and built by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. There were some delays but things were on track by mid-year. The building was completed in July 2011. Euro 1 is planned to be a mixed use office/administration center. Several companies will have headquarters or offices there. Also, many of Croatia's legislature offices and the City hall of Zagreb will be moved here upon opening. This building is expected to break some records, such as the highest city hall in the world, tallest building in Europa (it has already overtaken Euro 2) and the tallest building in the world (overtaking Burj Khalifa), though Euro 3 will overtake it in height in 2011. Euro 1 is presently the tallest unfinished building in the world, as it surpassed the Burj Khalifa in early may 2011. The height for this building will be 2823 feet upon completion.
Euro 2
Euro 2 began constuction in May 2006. Work on this tower progressed rapidly, and without much difficulties. Euro 2 was completed in June 2010 and is now being occupied, with use for office space. Euro 2 also features several shops in the ground floor. The building's height, at 2601 feet, makes it the tallest completed building in Europa, having overtaken the Volta Building and the under-construction Coliseum Center.
Euro 3
In October 2006 the groundbreaking was held for Euro 3. This building, with a height of 3077 feet, is expected to the tallest building in Europa and the world. Euro 3 was opened on November 18, 2011. This building will feature one of Europe's largest shopping center and will be the headquarters of the Zagreb Stock Exchange, presently located at 1 Jelačić Square.
Sullivan Building
The smallest of all the buildings is the headquarters for Sullivan Inc. The 399 foot building was completed in 2008. This one features a rooftop garden, added in 2009.
