FWNG Events 2030s

A list of events throughout the year of 2030 in Future World Next-Generation. Each week in Future World Next-Generation is a day in real life time, creating a Future World year every 52 days.

2030

January

• An unidentified flying object of significant size violates the Earth Space Security Zone and enters the atmosphere, stopping and hovering in position over Geneva, Switzerland.
• Newly elected President Matthew Andrew Dakota is inaugurated and takes on his duties as the second President of the Union of Everett.
• Elections for Grand Marshal begin in South America. Roberto Antunes Quina wins by a majority vote of the Liberal Alliance of South America.

February

• The extraterrestrial spacecraft hovering above Geneva, Switzerland begins to broadcast a message worldwide on all electronics including radio, internet, satellite and television.
  • The message broadcast by the alien vessel is found to be mathematical code, asking for world leaders to gather for first contact in Geneva.

September

• The ASC Fort Worth disappears without a trace in orbit of the KBO Pluto. Investigating ships find nothing except the Fort Worth's planet crack.

October

• The Asuncion Spaceplex Massacre occurs.
  • In reaction, the United Nations passes a law that no alien substance can enter Earth's atmosphere. Also, a new Asuncion, called Asuncion II, is to begin construction. It will feature a monument with a depiction of the ASC Fort Worth docked to the Asuncion I Spaceplex.

December

• The cause of the massacre and the victims' apparent insanity is confirmed to be of intense amounts of Scarlet Shard Stone materials which were present in the ASC Fort Worth's planet crack. The material is banned throughout the Allied States, along with the Cult of the Scarlet Marker, after their violent protests against the act. The period it took authorities to get back all known pieces of Shard Stone is known as the Shard Stone Retrievals. This is the first time an Allied States clone army could really prove its worth.

2031

February

• 12: Else Thvessen is elected as the Statsminister of Skandinavia. The Parlamentet's reorganization leads to a result of Sosial: 49, Nye Norsk: 27, Grønne: 14, Imperium: 10.

May

• 20: Skandinavia's urban areas begin merging, with three new megapolises being formed; Sorstad, Danskeby and Svenskastad. All three contribute to over 50% of the country's population.

2035

February

• A Hydran diplomatic vessel returns to Earth after five years since the Contact Incident of 2030. The Hydrans, seeing no significant global wars during this period, offer an official treaty to all of humanity. The treaty enacts a declaration of peace between the Human and Hydran species.

September

• The majority-Democratic Liberal Allied States Senate passes a law effectively making President Trevor Prince president for life.

• Union of Everett President Matthew A. Dakota is reelected for another 10 year term, furthering his M.A.D.MAN policies.
