The 12. Infanteribrigade is a formation of the Kongelige Hæren. The brigade is also known as Fynske Livbrigade, a name formerly held by an infantry regiment of the Danish Army. It is headquartered in Holstebro.
History
It was one of the oldest regiments in the Danish army and could trace its history back to 1614 when it was raised under the name Fynske Fenle Knægte af Jydske Regiment Landsfolk. The Regiment participated in all Danish wars since 1625 to 1951. It was transformed to a mechanized brigade in 1963 and after the military reform of 2003 it was attached to the 9. Infanteridivisjon.
