The Prime Minister of Patagonia is the head of government of the Commonwealth of Patagonia, the Supreme Field Marshal of the Patagonian Armed Forces, and Minister of the Civil Service. The prime minister is also chairs the Cabinet and selects Secretaries to the cabinet. The prime minister commands the confidence of the National Assembly and as such serves as a member of the Parliament.
The prime minister is supported by the Prime Minister's Office and heads the Privy Council Office. The prime minister is also selects individuals for appointment as governor general (in the federal jurisdicion) and commissioner (in the federal states and territories), as well as to the Federal Council of Patagonia, Supreme Court of Canada, and other federal courts, and, as required under law, the chairs and boards of national corporations.
Since Confederation in 1873, TBD prime ministers (TBD men and TBD women) have formed TBD Patagonian ministries. Allison Whitley of National Action Party is the current prime minister who took office in TBD after she won on the 2023 snap elections coinciding the resignation of Isabel Cartwright.
