Dennis Loewen (born 5 September 1966) is an Antillean general of the army who has served as the United Commonwealth Chief of Army Staff, the professional head of the United Commonwealth Army, since March 2020. Before being appointed as the head of the Army by President Michael Abarough, he previously served as Commanding General of the 4th Armored Division from 2011 to 2015, Deputy Commander of the United Commonwealth Expeditionary Force from 2015 to 2018, and as Commander of the Army Forces Command from 2018 to 2020. He was responsible for operations when the UCEF was deployed to Syria from 2016 to 2018 as part of the International Security Assistance Force, making him one of the few chiefs of staff in recent years to have experience in leading troops in active combat. He also participated as a military advisor in the 1994 Yemeni Civil War to the Hashemite Arabian intervention force.
