The Huvars or Huyars were a tribe or group of tribes that lived in the plains north of the Tilly Mountains, the region known as Huvaria, in the Middle Ages. They were related to the Huyatars, Salbars, and Zheyars. The Huvars fought several wars with the Battani, even sacking Aubidon in 699 CE, before they were ultimately vanquished by Marcoman at the Battle of the Yellow Fields. Afterwards, the Huvars disappear from the historical record. They were likely dispersed among the other Yaric tribes and later incorporated into the confederacy of Yaria.
