Manila

Manila, formally known as the National District of Manila, is the most populous city and the designated capital of the Republic of tondo. With over 12 million residents, it is Tondo's largest city, and the 10th largest city globally population-wise. With a total land area of 239.22 square miles, it is the center of the Great Luzon basin; which is home to approximately just under half of Tondo's ~147 million citizens. The Greater Manila metropolitan area consists of Manila proper and numerous smaller satellite cities and bedroom communities, all amounting to a collective population of 45 million inhabitants, making it the most-populous urban agglomeration in the world. In addition, Greater Manila also has a total GDP (PPP) of $2.4 trillion, almost a half of the country's national GDP, thus making it the wealthiest city globally.
