New Pomerelia (Pomerelian: Nepomerka) is a province located in the south-east of Cisplatina, bordered by Paraná to the west, Paiagua to the north, TBC and Edessea to the north-east, and New Cumbria to the south-east. As one of five maritime provinces in Cisplatina, New Pomereria possesses a small coastline on the Mieczko Sea, as well as being the outsource of Cisplatina's three largest rivers - the Uraguay, Paraná, and Paraguay rivers. It's capital, St. Rybicki, is the third largest city in Cisplatina (behind only TBC and TBC) and is a leading centre of education and a developing dynamic cultural scene. As one of the more fertile regions supported by the Uraguay River watershed, New Pomerelia is also one of the largest agricultural producers in the United Provinces.
What is now New Pomerelia was first settled by Polish-Lithuanian Calvinists fleeing the counter-reformation against protestants in central Europe. The first of these, headed by the notable Calvinist theologian and explorer Piotr Mieczko, secured rights from the Knight's Hospitaller based in Aubusson to establish settlements further south. Shortly thereafter, Mieczko commenced a voyage along the Uraguay River, establishing the town of Nowydom (now the capital of Lower Uraguay) and began agricultural redevelopment of nearby land on the banks of the lower Uraguay.
