Bruma is a city in northern Cyrodiil, on the slopes of the Jerall Mountains. The city lies relatively close to the Skyrim border, and has long been influenced by Nordic culture, architecture and customs.

History

The earliest mention of Bruma can be found in a First Era genealogy of the Imbel family: a Corben Imbel II is stated to have been buried in Bruma in 1E 1167.

In the Oblivion Crisis of 3E 433, the city of Bruma was attacked by daedric forces owing allegiance to Mehrunes Dagon. Martin Septim rallied an army to the defense of the city, in what would become known as the Battle of Bruma. With the help of the Hero of Kvatch, the daedric portals were sealed and the invasion was thwarted.
