General elections were held in Prillovania on September 13, 2023, to elect the President and members of the Riksdag. Incumbent President Javier Perok, representing the Moderate Party and supported by a coalition of center-right to right-wing parties, was re-elected with 38.76% of the vote. This result marked a decline from his performance in the 2019 election, as he fell short of an outright majority. Polls had indicated a tight race between the Moderate Party (M) and the Social Democrats (SD).

Key issues during the campaign included the economy, immigration, foreign policy, and LGBTQ+ rights. The AfP party sparked controversy by advocating for stricter border controls and engaging in anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, which polarized public opinion. In this election, the SD and AfP both made notable gains, with AfP securing third place. However, the BNP saw its support decline sharply, dropping from 5.11% in the previous election to 2.49%. Meanwhile, the PKP experienced an upswing in support.
