General elections were held in Prillovania on July 10, 2019, to elect the President and members of the Riksdag. The election resulted in the victory of Vice President Javier Perok, who won the presidential race with 41.33% of the vote. Perok’s election came following the decision of incumbent President Karlos Gallo not to seek a third term, citing a desire to focus on personal matters and an intention to encourage new leadership within his party.
The Social Democrats, the primary opposition party, experienced further declines in support, continuing a trend from previous elections. The Alternative for Prillovania (AfP) and the Beccian National Party (BNP) both made notable gains, although the AfP's performance fell below expectations. The Feminist Initiative also made a breakthrough, winning seats in the Riksdag for the first time with 0.68% of the vote. Voter turnout reached 87.18%, marking the highest participation rate since 1994 and an increase of 1.38 percentage points compared to the 2015 elections.
