Armed conflicts and attacks
- Rohingya conflict
- Three military officers of the Tatmadaw have been found guilty of atrocities against the Rohingya people by a court-martial in Myanmar. No details on the individual perpetrators, their crimes or their sentences have been given.
- Pashtun peace talks
- A spokesperson for the Taliban says that the group is committed to Inter-Pashtun peace talks schedueled for July and has reiterated its commitment to not attack CAS military personnel in a post on Twitter commenting on a videoconference between Sierran Foreign Minister Maggie Chan and Taliban official Mullah Baradar where they discussed the peace talks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the claim and said that Maggie Chan is "fully committed" to the peace talks.
- Mali War
- The League of Nations Security Council votes unanimously to extend its ongoing peacekeeping mission in Mali until June 30, 2021.
Arts and culture
- List of monuments and memorials removed during the George Floyd protests
- A statue of soldiers of the 1st San Joaquin Volunteer Regiment is removed in Plainsfield, San Joaquin, amid anti-racism protests in the city. Protests had denounced the statue due to the history of white supremacy within the regiment and its history of massacering black troops during the War of Contingency and Sierran Civil War.

- COVID-19 pandemic in Fiji
- Fiji has 160 peacekeeping soldiers quarintined after they return from the Middle East in response to concerns from the army over the possiblity that some of their troops have unknowingly contacted the virus.
International relations
- India–Pakistan relations, 2020 Pakistan Stock Exchange attack
- The Government of Pakistan accuses India of being behind the recent attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange saying that there was "no doubt" in their supposed involvement. India has denied these accusations.
Law and crime
- 2017–2018 Iranian protests
- A court in Iran sentences former journalist and political activist Ruhollah Zam to death for allegedly fueling anti-government sentiment and unrest in late 2017 on social media. He is charged with "corruption of the Earth".
- 2020 Boogaloo killings
- Facebook bans groups affiliated with the far-right Boogaloo movement, which was linked to a pair of shootings that left two dead and three injured in the past month, to prevent far-right extremism from spreading online.
- Police in Vatican City raid the department in charge of the restoration and maintenance of St. Peter's Basilica. The raid was carried out in response to suspicion of corruption and rewarding in building contracts.

- 2020 Libertarian Party leadership election
- Sarah Behrman chooses Kasen Walsh to be her running mate in the leadership election and seeks to appoint him deputy leader if she wins.
- Demonstrations break out in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, following the shooting and death of famed protest singer Hachalu Hundessa.
- The Mississippi state government signs a bill into law abandoning the state's flag and plans to replace it.
- A controversial petition calling for a ban on travel to and from China to Alaska aquires over 50,000 signatures.
Sports
- Reactions to the George Floyd protests
- The Premier League reaffirms its support for the Black Lives Matter movement, saying that its support is moral and not political and that it is aware of "the risk poised by groups that seek to hijack popular causes and movements". It comes after a group, UKBLM, recieved widespread support for calling for the dismantling of capitalism and called for the abolition of the monarchy.
