National Route 2 (NR 2) is a main highway of the National Route System, serving as a route connecting areas south and west of Koiwai, following a suburban route around the city, with the major naval complexes and seaport in Forriedor at Dalvik.
Route Description
Ivalician Federal District
National Route 2 begins as a one-way pair as 5th and 6th Streets from Esther Beach's Boardwalk to Ocean Avenue, where it becomes a proper expressway, carrying two lanes in each direction. Leaving Esther Beach, NR 2 travels along the south side of the Ulei River, merging with and then running along the south side of the Koiwai Beltway. South of the Sunshine Gates Tunnel, the Beltway diverges from NR 2 to head north into Koiwai, while NR 2 heads west along the Ulei River. National Route 3 merges with NR 2 north of the Ordero Mountains, the start of a concurrency running through to Forriedor. Immediately after the merge, NR 3/NR 2 concurrent crosses into Gallia.
Gallia
For the short stretch in Gallia, National Route 2 is known as Monocacy Parkway, as it travels through the Monocacy Gap portion of Monocacy National Park. There are ten exits from the highway in Gallia, principally around Setsuna, after crossing through the Gap. Several scenic outlooks are placed northwest of Setsuna to give views of the Ordero Mountains. The Frontier Tunnel, the longest tunnel through the Ordero Mountains carries National Route 2 and the Diamond Coast Railroad from Gallia into Forriedor.
