After The Flash: Newheart (ATF:NH) is a upcoming spinoff of After The Flash, a game series centered on Roblox after a nuclear war that wipes out a massive percentage of the population of the world. After The Flash: Newheart takes place in a fictional town in northern New York called "Newheart." In 2032, the war between the Asian Continental Military Front (ACMF) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) ended with a nuclear exchange. The nuclear fallout and smoke drove the planet into nuclear winter for the 2032–2042 decade, which causes the winter-like state of the map in the game itself, being called the Forever Winter by the survivors in the area.

The beginning of the story takes place in November 2034, during the post-war nuclear winter era of the ATF lore, taking place well before any of the mainline spinoffs as most of them take place 8 years afterwards, with this one taking place 2 years after, with the war fresh on the minds of survivors and major storyline factions haven't formed yet, with the game making the player give more attention to the surviving aspects of a nuclear apocalypse than the "good" and "bad" factions that cropped up decades after the nuclear conflict. Many structures built before 2032 decayed and rotted. It became an everyday occurrence to see skeletons lined up along the roads. The world governments were powerless in the wake of total and utter economic and agricultural collapse, with the player being able to experience this through roleplay.

Radiation in the area the game takes place in is sparse, with the main fallout being already deposited over northern New York through the nuclear bombing of New York City, which is referenced in the game several times through easter eggs, direct references through rare but equally interesting newspapers made during the conflict on November 2, 2032. Though the original plan for the game had a nuclear detonation in the east, those plans have been removed. The map is based off of the heartland village of New York City's borough, Staten Island, though with subtle changes like Tremley Point and the river separating the Island from New Jersey being expanded into the Hudson river opposite of Peekskill, New York.

The sole developer of After The Flash: Newheart is DrBreenBlackMesa as a hobby rather than a job, and has been in development since early 2024 in various forms. Development stages are told in stages, like from early 2024 to the future. Music for the game as well is in production, and will be listed in this as well. The plan for music in this game is to be purely Ambient tracks for the environment, as it is a nuclear winter. The soundtrack for Newheart is going to be uploaded on Youtube, and posted through the artist Antima, becoming my hopefully last release under the label of Antima Makoni as I switch from Ambient music to rock music in some amount of time.

Plot

Setting

A tank crossing the ice through the North Pole during World War III in 2032.

After The Flash: Newheart takes place in the year 2034, 2 years after the events of The Flash and either years or months before the ATF .5 games, like ATF 3.5, 5.5, and Deep Winter. The Flash, being a nuclear conflict between the United States (with NATO) and China (with the ACMF) over regional conflicts and World War III that ended the world in 2032. The setting is post-apocalyptic, covering a fictional region that is opposite to the city of Peekskill in Southern New York known as "Peekskill County," a clear difference as Peekskill is apart of Westchester County, New York. Unlike previous titles that are either 8–10 years after the Flash, this takes place in the direct aftermath of the war, ironically two years after the conflict taking place, as the game's story starts on November 2, 2034.
