Andrew Stephen Fisher (b. 18 March 1982) is a Georgeland politician who is the current Head of Government of the Federal District of Georgeland, the leader of Georgeland's capital city. He was elected to that position on 17 March 2022 after having served as Deputy Head of Government from 2019-2020, Commissioner for Education (2016-2020) and Commissioner for Justice (2020-22).
A small business administrator by background, Fisher was born in Chipwich, West Mainland, and attended the University of Topstad from 1999 to 2002, where he earned a bachelor's degree in communication and business studies. After working in business for several years, Fisher permanently moved to Topstad in 2007, and after a period working for the federal Liberal Democrats, was elected for the LDP to the Topstad City Council in 2011. In 2016 he was elected to the new Legislative Council and became the city's first Commissioner for Education. After Jennifer Dugdale became Head of Government in 2019, Fisher succeeded her as Deputy Head of Government. After the 2020 election, Fisher yielded the position to Socialist Workers Party leader Peter Tsau, and continued to serve in government as Justice Commissioner, the district's equivalent to an Attorney-General.
After Dugdale resigned to enter federal politics, Fisher was elected unopposed as the Liberal Democratic leader and was elected Head of Government, one day before his 40th birthday.
Fisher married Angela McCabe in 2008. The couple have four children; Rebecca (b. 2010), Sam (b. 2013), Christine (b.2017) and Jack (b. 2020).
