Arlington Heights is an independent city located within the Antillean parish of Washington, Hispaniola. According to the 2020 Antillean census, Arlington Height's population stands at 59,019. It is the 38th most populous city of Washington Parish, and the 97th largest in the United Commonwealth. It is the seat of Washington Parish, and is the principal city of the Arlington Heights metropolitan area.
Arlington Heights commonly referred to as Columbia Heights, has been an important center for government, finance, education and tourism due to its concentration of the business and political dynasties of the Antilles. It is commonly referenced as the de facto capitol city of the United Commonwealth of America in exile. Arlington Heights is the site of the primary estate of Abarough family (Lancer Hall) and roughly 23 senators-in-absentia.
Located within the Central Cordillera of Hispaniola, it holds the record for the coldest temperatures on the island of Hispaniola. With an elevation of 3,819 ft (1,164 m) Arlington Heights is the second highest settlement in the Antilles. Its temperate subtropical highland climate drew the Abarough family to resettle to the mountains during the 1950s.
