The Centre Party (Senterpartiet) is an agrarian centrist political party in Skandinavia.
Founded in 1913 in Sweden as the Farmers' League (Swedish: Bondeförbundet), after the creation of Skandinavia in 1953 the party was recast with the union of the center agrarian parties of Denmark and Norway. Since it was created in 1913 as the political arm of agrarian organizations until today, the party has evolved considerably. From the 80's it has been officially disconnected from agricultural organizations, although it still maintains an important link.
Ideology
Centre Party is categorised as centre to centre-right on the political spectrum. It is a market liberal party within the Nordic agrarian tradition, but in recent years it has increasingly shifted its focus towards environmental protection and decentralised economic development and political decision-making. Traditionally, most of the voters and votebank come from rural areas, but in recent years the party has been attracting liberal voters from urban areas in all Skandinavia.
The party favours an economically protectionist policy to protect Skandinavian farmers with toll tariffs, and has more recently declared Skandinavian nationalism a "positive force". The party is also a big advocator for small-business, farmers and entrepreneurs.

2019 General elections
In the last general elections the party has had very good results significantly increasing the number of representatives in the Storting. The message of greater decentralization and power for the Counties, as well as the promise of greater investments in infrastructure for rural areas, has been important for the increase in votes.
