The China–Sierra trade war, or the China–CAS trade war, is an ongoing economic conflict between the Republic of China and the Conference of American States countries, primarily the Kingdom of Sierra. Prime Minister Nemesis Heartwell in January 2018 began setting tariffs and trade barriers on China with the goal of forcing it to make changes to what the kingdom says are "unfair trade practices" and intellectual property theft. The Heartwell ministry stated that these practices may contribute to the K.S.–China trade deficit, and that the Chinese government requires transfer of American technology to China. In response to US trade measures, the Chinese government accused the Sierran government of engaging in protectionism and took retaliatory action. After the trade war escalated through 2019, on January 15, 2020, the two sides reached a phase one agreement following a meeting in Beijing, however tensions continued to persist. Since the defeat of the Royalists in the 2020 Sierran federal election, the trade war has had a mixed response among the Sierran public and media, but is largely viewed as a failure. The new Social Democrat ministry organized a diplomatic summit in March 2021 that included the signing of a new agreement to effectively end the trade war.

The volume of trade in goods between China and the CAS member states increased massively since the start of the Chinese economic reform in the late 1960s. The CAS has consistently imported more goods from China than they exported to China. Since the 1990s Sierran ministries have accused China of unfair trade practices. The Royalist Party had a mixed view on protectionism and free trade, with the populist wing of the party more strongly advocating protectionism in the 2010s as way to protect Sierran manufacturing. Support for tariffs became a Royalist campaign issue during the 2016 Sierran federal election. Among other CAS members there were similar sentiments among certain Astorian, Alaskan, Brazilian, and Superian parties, while the Federation of Central America, Paraguay, and Argentina have opposed such measures. China's massive economic growth has been increasingly seen as a geopolitical and military threat to Sierran and other Anglo-American political leaders since the start of the 21st century.
