County Ferrig is one of the six counties in the Commonwealth of Sainte Genevieve. Its present borders were established in 1907. Located in the north-western part of the island, County Ferrig is Sainte Genevieve's smallest county, both in area and population.
Etymology
County Ferrig takes its name from the Irish word "Farraige," meaning "Sea."
