Eleonora Ernman (born 16 June 2344) is a Yekaterian politician serving as the Vice Chancellor of Yekateria since September 2381. She previously served as Chancellor of Yekateria following the 2380 Yekaterian federal elections, until her resignation in August and replacement in September of the same year. She also serves as the Secretary of Education and as the Federal Deputy from Kalysia. A member of the Federalist Party, she serves as the party's Deputy President, serving with Thomas-Anton Lindeman. Ernman served in the De Rynsburger-Lindeman II cabinet from 2378 to 2381, before forming the Hochburger-Ernman cabinet as chancellor in the same year.
Ernman was born in the Södermanland district of Katrineholm, attending the Katrineholms Gymnasium and later attending the University of Södermanland, where she obtained a bachelors' and masters' degree in Economics in 2367. Following that, Ernman joined the Federalist Party as an election strategist and a member, before being elected as the party's deputy president in 2370. She then served in the Kalysting representing her home district between 2371 and 2375, before being elected to the House of Federals in the 2375 federal elections.
As a federal deputy and the deputy president of the Federalist Party, Ernman became notable for her extremely frank and occasionally brunt statements, and developing a feud with Social Democrat Marta Melikova. She was also notable for supporting right-wing causes and proposals in the Federal Assembly, becoming a loud advocate for the right and disliked by left-wing politicians.
Ernman was nominated as the Chancellor-candidate by the Federalists in the 2380 election, and accepted as a compromise candidate by the left-wing coalition in order to avoid a potential People's Party plurality. She was promptly voted in as Chancellor following the 2380 election.
As Chancellor, Ernman was for her high targets and outspoken support for further right-wing reforms. Under her leadership, Yekateria realised a 12% GDP increase between January and August 2381; however at the expense of an increased cost of living and nearly causing a potential financial crisis. Ernman also promised a new subsidies' program for school lunches in line with her economic targets, carrying it out following the GDP increase to $6.2 sextillion. Following the threats of a confidence vote against her government, Ernman resigned in August and stayed on as caretaker until the inauguration of her successor Carl Freitag in September 2381.
