Embassy of Leubantia in Creburg

The Embassy of the Republic of Leubantia to Heigard is Leubantia's diplomatic mission in Heigard.

The embassy is currently located at 96 Place des Arbres, Creburg in the Bertrand arrondissement. The current ambassador is Koren Kuempsven.

The original building occupied 4 of the current buildings in the row where the embassy is located. It was owned by a Leubantian banker from 1765 to 1798. The son of the banker sold the building known as Hôtel de Higsford to the Leubantian government in 1800; it was designated as the Leubantian delegation to Heigard. The delegation became a fully functional embassy in 1895.

At the outbreak of World War I, the diplomatic relations with Leubantia were disrupted and the embassy was closed. In late 1914 the hôtel apparently burned in arson, three days after the arson in the German embassy. Subsequently four houses were built and sold to Heigardian citizens.

In 1919 the Leubantian embassy was re-opened in Rue Borgnac, where the home of the ambassador is currently located. The building was categorized as enemy property and not available at the beginning of World War II. One of the houses in the Place des Arbres was acquired by the Leubantian government in 1945 and was assigned as embassy the next year. In 1948 the building in Rue Borgnac was given back to Leubantian representatives as the house of the Leubantian ambassador.

The embassy plus an additional building in Boulevard Garounbourg support the Leubantian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in diplomatic, consular, trade, and cultural activities.
