Fantxiǎng is a Technocratic Republic located in the East China Sea. It is a chain of islands that Spans the entire sea. Fantxiǎng Is the only official Technocratic nation in the world as of 2018.

Fantxiǎng was first discovered by Chinese explorers in 950 B.C. and was colonized 3 years later by China. Later on Korean immigrants started to come, beginning the melting pot that would soon create the Fantxan. The 2 languages of Korean and Chinese began to mix as Koreans and Chinese Peoples began moving in next to each other in closer areas. In 1894, when the Japanese invaded and annexed the Fantxiǎng islands, the Japanese military administration there began a policy of colonization and suppression of the Chinese and Korean People there, who had formed their own united identity over the years. Japanese settlers further added to the Melting pot of cultures, and after the Japanese surrender in 1945, they began mixing their culture with the Chinese and Koreans, created the modern day Fantxan people.

Etymology

The name Fantxiǎng comes from the translation of the word “Fantasy” to Chinese and Japanese.

“Fantajī” and “Huànxiǎng” were eventually combined together when Japanese and Chinese languages blended in the 19th century, and created “Fantxiǎng”.

History

Discovery

The first recorded sightings of the modern day Fantxiǎng islands was in the year 49 by Chinese sailors who wrote down their findings, and told about their findings to their friends, and soon word spread across all of China about these “Fantasy” or known in Traditional Chinese “Huànxiǎng” islands. The sailor’s publications about their findings and all the rumors spreading around the country caused many to take it upon themselves to search for these mysterious islands. Many voyages were made, and the sailor’s publications came out to be true, as many saw what looked to be land in The distance; a new chain of islands had been found.
