George Owell's Twenty-Seventy Four is an Earth-based world set in a dystopian future from an out of universe perspective with largely "unreliable" details. Inspired by George Orwell's 1984 and its Hearts of Iron IV mod, George Owell's Twenty-Seventy Four follows 3 superstates named in similar vein of that of 1984 with Thalassia, Eurafrasia, and Panasia, alongside the four "free states" of Austronesia, Arabia, Africa Australis, and "Hispania". The 3 superstates are locked in a state of perpetual war with eachother over the unclaimed regions stretching over a triangular region from Barcelona, to Luanda, and to Bangkok, the entirety of Oceania, and several "irrelevant, and unimportant" islands, alongside subjugating the free states as to prevent any of them from rising against the superstates.
Name
George Owell's Twenty-Seventy Four was originally to be named "Nineteen-Ninety-Four", in reference to the legend that 1984 was named by Orwell reversing the last 2 digits in 1948, the year the book was mostly written, with 1994 reversing the last 2 digits the year the book was published in (1949). It would later be renamed to 2075, before renamed again to 2074 to sound more like 1984. Although named 2074, the story spans several years, mostly after 2075. Owell is the non-rhotic pronounciation of Orwell's name.

Thalassia
The largest of the 3 superstates, Thalassia comprises of the British isles, the Americas, and some parts of the Canadian islands up north. Thalassia's state doctrine is "BritSoc", or "British Socialism". Thalassia was formed when the Commonwealth merged with the Organization of American States to form a nation state.
Eurussia
Erussia comprises of mainland Europe except for the Iberian peninsula, Iceland, and some of the Caucauses and Central Asia. Eurafrasia's state doctrine is Neo-Stalinism, a corruption of Marxism-Leninism for the benefit of the state and state dominance Eurussia was formed when Russia invaded Europe and parts of Asia.
Honasia
The smallest of the 3 superstates, Hanasia comprises of the Japanese archipelago, the island of Taiwan, the Phillippines, the Indian subcontinent, mainland China, and "fluctuating parts of Mongolia and Kazakhstan", stretching to the Okhotsk sea. Panasia's official state doctrine is “Asian Values”. Asian Values, largely Sinospheric in nature, is a Pan-Asian ideology that is to unite all people of Asian under one whole banner and extensively practices Asian spirituality, although a corruption of which, like Neo-Stalinism, for the benefit of the state and state dominance. Hanasia is also the youngest superstate having been formed out of "confused fighting" by its predecessor states in the 2040s.
Austronesia
Austronesia, comprising of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, was the first free state to be formed, following a revolution in Panasia in the 2050s. Population wise, is the largest of the free states, however, militarily, it may not be the greatest, though it does possess the third largest navy in the world.
Arabia
Arabia occupies the entire Arabian peninsula, alongside some parts of West Asia. Ruled by a man who claims to be a servant of Allah, with the very fitting name of "Abdullah", Arabia has served as a buffer between Eurussia and Honasia.
Africaustralis
Africaustralis was formed when the natives there chose to form their own nation, born out of lack of concern by any of the 3 superstates for the southern portion of Africa. Comprising of not just southern Africa, but also Madagascar, some parts of Tanzania, and several islands that would've been controlled by Eurussia, Africa Australis is perhaps the most "prosperous" and "free" out of the four free states.
Hispania
Hispania, or Free Iberia, is largely Hispanophone, with its territory being most of Spain and Portugal, as well as Morocco and some parts of Algeria, and the Canary islands.
The remaining territory on Earth that is not controlled by any state, named the "Disputed region", is inhabited by one-fifth the world population.
