Georgeland Ambassador to Pakistan
The Georgeland Ambassador to Pakistan is the head of Georgeland's diplomatic mission to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the official representative to the Georgeland government to the Pakistani government. The diplomatic mission was first established in 1950, when Pakistan was a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, but Georgeland was not. Between 1958 and 1972 when both nations were members, the position was known as the High Commissioner to Pakistan, but reverted to Ambassador between 1972 and 1989 when Pakistan left the Commonwealth, back to High Commissioner after Pakistan rejoined in 1989, and back to Ambassador when Georgeland withdrew in 2020.
During the period 1999-2004 and 2007-2008, when Pakistan was suspended from the Commonwealth, the title of 'High Commissioner' was retained.
From 1950 the embassy/high commission was located in Karachi; it relocated to the new capital, Islamabad, in 1969.
The current Georgeland ambassador to Pakistan is Frank Wooley, appointed in 2022 following Carlotta St. John's appointment as Ambassador to the United Nations.
