Great Koru was a West Sorcan civilization that existed from the 2nd century CE until the 9th century CE. It was preceded by the Yau culture and succeeded by a mix of foreign dynasties (including the Farluqids, the Mishirids, and the Kahveren) and native kingdoms (including Loali, Hmal, Okun and Dessideen).
The height of Great Koru was a period of flourishing in art, science, trade, and standard of living. Koruvian trade networks reached across the sea lanes to Ochria, Kuo and Topei. For much of its early history, Koruvian culture and technology were heavily influenced by trade contacts with the Ghin Empire of Kuo.
