A Pro-Abarough propaganda promoting the return to the mainland United Commonwealth (1961).

The Great Return, sometimes referred to as the Restoration ideology or Great Return ideology, is a political ideology in the Antilles, or the United Commonwealth of America, that promotes the return of Federalist forces to the mainland United Commonwealth, currently controlled and governed by the Continentalist Party. It would be main governing ideology of the Federalist government-in-exile from 1921 to 1965, when Operation Delaware Crossing was scrapped and the government shifted its focus to permanent habitation on the islands of the Antilles. Supporters of the Great Return believed that the "United Commonwealth on the Antilles" was destined to launch a liberation of the mainland to overthrow the Continentalist Party and restore Federalist rule, and rejected the Antillean independence movement.

Abarough herself had supported the idea of reconquering the American mainland in order to re-establish the pre-revolutionary government. To this end, Abarough committed a significant amount of time and money towards expanding the United Commonwealth Armed Forces in preparation for Operation Delaware Crossing, though preparations were disrupted by major events both domestically and international in the form of the Hispaniola Anarchy, the Great War, and the June 16 incident and subsequent Great Blue Terror.
