Since entering office in 2020, Governor of Laguna Tyson Morales has the been the focus of a number of recall attempts. As of 2021, five recall petitions have been created against Morales throughout his tenure, with the most recent one being filed in August of 2021.

Reasons for recalling Morales vary by each petition, though generally center around his handling of and response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Laguna and his support for unpopular criminal reforms, such as the abolition of the bail system in Laguna and support for legislation that would reduce the sentencing of violent offenders. Recall efforts against Morales has been supported by the Laguna Royalist, Libertarian, and Christian Democrats, and has been supported by a number of business and parent oriented groups, such as the Laguna Parent's Association and the Laguna Small Business Initiative. Recall efforts have been opposed by the Laguna Democratic-Republican Party, which Morales is a member of, and the Laguna Social Democrats.

As of 2021, public opinion over a recall of Morales has been mixed, with a plurality of Laguna voters (45%) opposing a recall election in a recent poll.
