The House of Bourbon-Navarre, commonly referred to as the House of Spain or the Carlist Pretenders by Spaniards, is a Spanish royal house currently claiming the defunct Throne of Spain. The house is considered a cadet branch of the extinct House of Bourbon-Anjou, which was also a cadet branch of the French House of Bourbon. The house was founded by Prince Xaiver, who was also the Carlist pretender.
After the house's foundation, Prince Xavier and his family would flee to France after the Landonist victory in the Spanish Civil War. After the conclusion of Great War I, the house would relocated to Sierra, where it currently resides. Since its foundation, the House of Bourbon-Navarre has been considered the leading candidate for a restored Spanish monarchy, with members of the house continuing to claim the throne of Spain. Because of this, the Third Republic has barred members of the house from returning to Spain, citing national security concerns. Along with claiming the Spanish Throne, the house also continues to lay claim to the defunct Duchy of Parma, however this claim is rarely ever pressed.
