The Imperial Banners (Uruutese: ᠤᠯᠤᠰ ᠤᠨ ᠸᠠᠩ ᠤᠨ ᠠᠴᠢᠶᠠ ᠶᠢᠨ ᠬᠠᠢ᠌ᠷᠴᠠᠭ) officially the Most Auspicious Imperial Banners of the Heavenly Mandated Horde of the West (Uruutese: ᠪᠠᠷᠠᠭᠤᠨ ᠲᠡᠭᠷᠢ ᠶᠢᠨ ᠤᠷᠳᠤᠨ ᠤ ᠬᠠᠮᠤᠭ ᠠᠭᠤᠵᠢᠭᠤ ᠬᠠᠭᠠᠨᠲᠤ ᠲᠤᠭ) and colloquially known as The Horde (Uruutese:ᠬᠣᠨᠢ ᠰᠦᠷᠦᠭ) is a federation of 42 banners located on the continent of Sule. Outside the league of banners, the horde asserts sovereignty over 76 unincorporated island territories.
Roughly 30,000 years ago, the paleo-Shou crossed the Remanian Straits from Verdantis. These initial settlers separated, forming distinct cultures and languages. The Uru'ut, which had settled throughout the great Central Plains surrounding the Xiulan River, established sedentary agricultural settlements approximately 23,000–19,500 years ago. In 1230 BC, the Saro dynasty arose along the Xiulan River, extending to the Soonnam River and to the Gukmin Mountains.
