Born and raised in Cameron, North Carolina, Hardy started his career as a Bassist for a band called”Black Rock” A band He and His brother Matt hardy would form with a few friends in high school the band would be short lived disbanding 2 weeks after their first Performance. Hardy would still continue having the same passion for music so he would decided to form Punk Fits with his brother. Having his friend Bryan Johnson on Bass Guitar and his brother Matt would take drum duties like always and Jeff Would be the lead guitarist and vocalist. The band would get the attention of Kurt Cobain who had just started his own Record label after the disbanding of Nirvana in 1994. Cobain would sign them to Pixie Meat Records. Punkfits would disband later that months reason being unknown. Jeff and Matt would form their own duo band “The Hardy Boyz” and would start to Record Tracks in the studio. They would Release their First Self Titled album. After the Release of the Self Titled Album Jeff and Matt would Go Back to the Studio to Record their Second Track “sanitarium” They would release The album in March 24th 1998. The Hardy’s would start to get a lot popular around America. They would set a Tour in Europe.
The Hardy Boyz Would End up disbanding after a argument between the two brothers. Hardy Would End up going solo meanwhile his brother Matt would end up joining the white stripes as their bassist. Jeff would Release his First Solo Album “Modest
Around 2003 Hardy Would Form PeroxWhy?Gen with his friend Dale Oliver. Hardy would be on lead vocals and Dale Oliver would be lead guitar. They would get Taylor Hawkins on drums and a old friend Bryan Johnson who was a former Member of the Foo Fighters. The Band Would Release Their Debut Album “ItchWeed” PeroxWhy?Gen would go on Tour in Japan for the first time. where Hardy would meet his Wife Amy Dumas The lead singer of a band called “The Luchagors” the Two would hit off and start dating in 2003. After the success of Their first album and Tour Hardy would Take a Break due to being burn out from touring. Around 2005 Hardy and Dumas would get married and She would be giving birth to their first child.
Hardy Would Make a appearance at a pantera concert in 2006 He would be invited to play With them and they would play Walk Domination and This Love
Hardy would go into a hiatus returning again in early 2010s with his brother Matt. The Hardy Boyz would reunite which would hype old school fans. The Hardy Boyz would release their reunion album “Similar Creatures” the duo would go on a successful reunion tour that would lead both of them to going back to the studio and record another studio album which would feature the luchagors and they would on tour and even perform at The Biggest Festival for Charity for Aj dick falling off Bands like megadeth Metallica Queen limp bizkit etc
