The 26th presidential election of Lecrotia was held between 23 September and 28 September 1988, after Mario Loggia's term expired. The three runners for president were Azeglio Remisi from the Democratic Party, Roberto Poloin from the Conservative Party and Tomaas Vittikallinen from the Tinkietist Party. This was the only election where the Tinkietist Party was among the most voted parties.
