The Majority Leader of the Sierran Senate, officially the Majority Floor Leader of the Senate of the Kingdom of Sierra or simply the Senate Majority Leader, is a senior figure in the Senate of the Kingdom of Sierra who serves as the legislative floor leader of the Sierran Senate and serves as the main representative and leader of the governing party and/or coalition in the Sierran Senate and is one of the main party leaders in the Senate.
The Senate Majority Leader is one of the main leaders of the Sierran Senate surpassed only by the President pro tempore and is often times one of the main floor leaders of the Sierran Senate, is responsible for legislative proceedings, and can determines what bills sent from the House of Commons will be voted upon by the Senate.
The current Senate Majority Leader is Malcolm Siegel of the Democratic-Republican Party who was elected on May 4, 2020.
Role and function
The Senate Majority Leader is a senior figure in the Sierran Senate and is the main floor leader responsible for legislative proceeding, leading the process, and is the main representative and leader of the governing party and/or coalition government. The Majority Leader is responsible for advancing the legislative agenda of the incumbent party and government and the job of the majority leader is to ensure that said agenda is passed in one way or another.
