Mikheil Kostava (born 1 September 1956) is a Caucasus politician, currently serving as the President of Caucasus. He studied at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, in the fields of law, justice, and politics. On 3 December 2008, he was elected by executive members of the Caucasus Reformation Act of 2008, seeing as he was the best candidate. He is serving with the current Prime Minister of Caucasus, Immran Tribitotkov.
Early Life
Born in Moscow, USSR, to a Russian politician, and grew up and received education in the city, he matriculated in 1973, and went to study, and live in the United Kingdom until August of 2008, when he went to live in Georgia. In the UK he studied law, justice, and politics at the Cambridge University.
Public Life
Kostava entered public life in 1985, when he became the United Kingdom's ambassador to Russia. He kept that position until April of 1990 when he resigned, and went on to establish the United Kingdom's Liberal Democrats party, he served as the party president until he went to live in Georgia in 2008. There he refounded the new Georgian Liberal Democrats, which later became the Caucasus Liberal Democrats when the country was established.
Appointed President
For the few days in which Caucasus was Russian territory, he served as the resistance leader for the rebels. After the Russians were recalled, executive members of the Caucasus Reformation Act of 2008 appointed him President, full democracy will start at the 2012 elections.
