Mothy Kossar Zultoff-Hollane (About this sound listen) (Songarian: Mohy Koszer Zöltó-Hölén; 1867–1938) was a Songar-Eican commander, military advisor, and statesman, active during the late industrial era. He first won recognition as captain of the White Brigade, an Eican free company which saw action in various Nurovan conflicts during the 1880s and 90s. After the outbreak of the Great Wars, Hollane rose through the ranks, ultimately taking on the role of a supreme commander of both land and sea operations. He is remembered particularly for his leadership of the Eican Navy, transforming it from a modest fleet of ironclads to a full-strength strike fleet. Mothy was a proponent of combined arms warfare, an early adopter of the aircraft carrier, and a supporter of the unrealized Eico-Songarian union.

Ancestry

Hollane was born of the House of Zultov-Hollane, an illustrious Songarian family going back to the 11th century.

Legacy

Mothy is the namesake of the planet Hollane, discovered during the 20th-century War of the Vortices, as well as the Hollane class of aircraft carriers. He is also mentioned in military songs of his time, including "The White Brigade" and "Go Forth to Tintagon".
