The Piscator Labor Alliance (PLA, French: Alliance syndicale de piscator, ASP, also known commonly as the Piscators) is a social democratic political party in Placentia. The party was founded in 1911 and is one of the largest political parties in Placentia. Although the Piscators are economically leftist, it has been described as a "big tent" party, with a significant faction of social conservatives within its leadership and membership.
Since 2003, Rafael Jauregui has been the party chairman. During the Piscators' governance of Placentia from 2016 and 2019, its economic policy was primarily based on protecting Placentia's dominant industry, fishing, as well as providing universal healthcare and education to Placentian citizens. It also maintained an Ameroskeptic platform, favoring the traditional policy of Placentian neutrality with regards to international relations. Under Jauregui's leadership, the party has shifted increasingly rightward in terms of social policy. In 2004, it supported an anti-abortion policy and restricting immigration into Placentia. In 2019, members of the Piscator government were accused of embezzlement and smuggling, causing controversy and a subsequent election in 2019 that resulted in the party's loss. Despite winning a plurality of seats in Parliament, the Piscators were unable to form a viable minority government or coalition.
