The Presidential-class Command Vessel is an Everetti built capital ship designed by Boeing and Northrup Grumman. The class of ship is used by the Union of Everett as the EVSS Everett and by the United Nations, who possesses three of the class, the UNSS Unity, UNSS Justice and UNSS Harmony and two vessels possessed by the Security Alliance, the SASS Freedom and SASS Justice.
Specs
The Presidential-class Command Vessel is nearly one and a half miles in length and two thirds of a mile wide. It is powered by two fusion generator reactor which provide power to its three massive engines. The engines include wormhole drives, hyperdrive and anti-gravity systems for flight and propulsion. The Presidential-class features the fastest hyperdrive engines of any Everetti built space vessel at nearly 15 times the speed of light in faster-than-light travel but a standard wormhole drive speed of over 700 billion miles per hour is featured as any other spacecraft. The Presidential-class has a standard recommended crew of between 1,000 to 2,000 but may take on as many as 50,000 persons.
Armament
Some vessels are ordered to be built with weapons capabilities. The Presidential-class may be fitted with a primary plasma cannon array on the front of the craft as well as missile and torpedo launching bays for varying types of missile systems or armaments. The vessel also features a landing bay for varying space craft including Boeing 808 or 818 spaceliners or similar craft, fighters or small transports. The ship is also armed with AWACS, electronic, PSYOPS, electro-magnetic, EMP and static weaponry.
Defenses
For primary defenses, the ship is protected by the currently strongest possible energy shield available, capable of withstanding significant attack from fighter and bomber attacks. Plasma barrages from heavy military vessels including destroyers and battleships may weaken and penetrate the shields and cause damage. Weapons of mass destruction such as fusion weapons or ionic weapons are most effective at destroying the craft. Presidential-class vessels are also armed with defensive plasma turrets and railguns to protect the craft during an attack or to destroy incoming asteroids, meteors or space debris. Defensive fighters may be included with the vessel to protect the craft from attack.
