Exterra Heavy Industries is the leading manufacturer of heavy goods such as Mining equipment, Shipyards, Heavy reactor foundations, Die press equipment and many other items. One of the corporate mottos is self explanatory "If it’s involved in an industrial process Exterra makes it." Exterra also possesses Sol's largest strip mine Lemnos on Mercury, it bores directly into the large iron core of the planet stripping away the silicates and any useful ores, waste dust is sent into the nearby sun.

History of Exterra Heavy Industries

Exterra was founded from the ashes of Terraprime Machineworks after the events that left earth un-habitable with its primary bases on Luna. After the founding of Exterra, there was a massive exodus of the former Detroit, Ulsan, Vancouver, and the Rhine shipyards. the vast majority of the industrial equipment used to found Exterra was quite literally stolen, the former owners of Terraprime paid the Long shoring Union to move the equipment onto transports and evacuate them off planet before the notice of bankruptcy was sent to the Credit Standardization Commission. In the span of a few hours over 100,000 tonnes of manufacturing equipment and tools "disappeared" from the company ledgers while 10 cargo ships from Long shoring union where "on test runs" the pillaging of the Terraprime properties went mostly unnoticed by the industrial community and there was no concrete evidence linking the executives to this "incident" as such no criminal charges were placed in the Terran courts league.-
