Red Year

In the history of Morrowind, 4E 5 became known as the Red Year due to the many catastrophic events that occurred in that time. The fall of the meteor Baar Dau and eruption of Red Mountain caused widespread destruction throughout Vvardenfell, destroying many settlements and killing or displacing tens of thousands of people. The subsequent Argonian Invasion wrought further injury. These events would forever change the political landscape of Morrowind, and cause a major religious shift away from the Tribunal to the New Temple.
