Redding Park is a station on the Terraplén Ivalion Metro line operated by the Ivalion County Transportation Authority (ICTA) in Ivalion, Califia, Ivalice. It is located in the Redding City Park, adjacent to Fort Exeter National Historic Monument. It is the eastern terminus point for the Terraplén line, and has been so since the opening of the Metrorail system.
History
Redding Park station was opened on June 5, 1947 as the east terminal of the original Metrorail line to International station. It was originally the site of the Terraplén streetcar line's depot before the line was removed to build Redding Park in the late 1930s. When construction of the subway began in 1942 and the streetcars were completely removed, Redding Park was seen as an ideal location for the terminal of the new subway line, as park construction had already disturbed the surface in the area. Construction was completed in early March 1947.
