The Republic of China Olympic Committee is the National Olympic Committee that represents the Republic of China (ROC) at the international Olympic Games and other similar international sporting competitions. The committee was founded in 1922 and was created during the reign of the first republic. During the People's Republic of China under the Chinese Communist Party (1949–2001), the ROCOC was renamed to the Chinese Olympic Committee before being renamed back to its original name following the Beijing Spring, however the communist-era name is frequently used as a shorter designation.
