Robert Eugène Chevalier (/ˌʃeɪvəˈlɪeɪ/; born on 1 May 1959) is a Rioblancoan politician, current Speaker of the Senate of Rio Blanco. He also served as COO of RioFrozo, a frozen food company based in Pocatello.
Biography
Born in Lakewood (DCD) to a Cajun family coming from Shreveport, Louisiana, Chevalier moved to Pocatello (UI) at the age of three.
In 1997, while working at RioFrozo, Robert joined the Rioblancoan branch of the AFL–CIO; by there, he got in touch with politics, joining the Progressive Party in 2004.
Briefly serving as COO of his company for a year, he stepped down in 2006 to run for Senator from Uinta. Defeating Conservative candidate Joe Unterpfeller, Chevalier quickly made his way through the high ranks of the Party.
In 2014, Chevalier reconfirmed the post for a third term and led the Progressives in the 2014 Senate election, defeating incumbent Speaker Larry Broadbench, from Baynice.
